This October, Hong Kong solidifies its reputation as Asia’s premier trade fair capital with the highly anticipated HKTDC Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) and the Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo. Under the engaging theme “Light & Life,” these twin events will host approximately 3,000 exhibitors from over 20 countries, showcasing groundbreaking products and solutions that seamlessly integrate lighting with daily living.
Taking place from October 27 to 30, 2024, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, the 26th edition of this fair serves as a vital one-stop sourcing platform for industry players. This year, the fair emphasizes key trends in sustainable development, healthy living, and innovative design, catering to the evolving needs of the lighting market.
An exciting highlight is the upgraded Hall of Connected Lighting, which builds on last year’s success. This zone will feature renowned international brands such as JDI (Japan) and Signify (Netherlands), alongside familiar faces like LEDiL (Finland) and Tridonic (Austria). Visitors can expect to explore innovative designs and smart solutions from around 50 industry leaders.
Adding an artistic touch, renowned designer Tino Kwan and his team, in collaboration with CM Jao from OFT Interiors, will present the GLOW & GROW demonstration area. Simultaneously, the 9th Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo will be held from October 29 to November 1, 2024, at AsiaWorld-Expo. This expo serves as a comprehensive sourcing platform for outdoor commercial and industrial lighting solutions, aiming to shape smart cities.
This year, the expo introduces a Smart Pole and Solution Zone, showcasing innovative energy-efficient solutions. The Horticultural Lighting Zone will highlight cutting-edge plant lighting technology, while the Outdoor and Public Lighting Zone continues to emphasize lamps designed for public spaces.
The twin fairs will host a series of seminars, product launches, and networking events. Notable highlights include the Innovative Lighting Design Forum on October 27, where architects and lighting designers will discuss the latest market trends, and the Connected Lighting Forum on October 28, exploring intelligent lighting applications.
Additionally, the AsiaWorld-Expo will feature seminars such as Spotlighting on Architainment Lighting on October 29, showcasing impressive case studies in outdoor lighting.
The events will adopt the EXHIBITION+ hybrid model, featuring the “Click2Match” online smart business matching platform, available from October 20 to November 8.
